First Number Box is for player that won the face-off, Second Number Box is for player that lost. It's OK to leave either box blank if that player is from the team not being tracked. Face-off wins should be based on which team had the first opportunity to play the puck. A Center that hits the puck to the opposing defensemen, lost the face-off.
Select Option For Which Type Of Shot - On Goal, Missed, Blocked. When Shot is Blocked, Second Number Box Is For Player That Blocked. Shortcut keys can also be used for shot type (G - M - B)
First Three Number Boxes are for Goal Scorer and Assists. Use checkbox to specify assist. All players on the ice for the goal should also be entered.

Total Box is used to specify how long the penalty was in minutes. For Example, Penalties that are 1 minute and 30 seconds are to entered as 1.5.

It is not critital when this is set, just sometime during the pause between periods or before the first period begins. The Total Box is used to specify how many periods since last change, typically this will be one expect at the end of the game. For start of the game, use 1. For 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd period use 1. If game is going from 3rd to OT, use 1. 3rd to Shooutout, use 2 and 3rd to Final use 3.
